Simon Carter

Managing Director

Co-Founder

Director of Catalyst Network Ltd (Catalyst's underpinning not-for-profit company)

Simon is passionate about realising the potential of corporations, as organisations of highly aspirant, skilled and influential people, to drive social change in Australia, including on the paramount issue of climate change.

He co-founded Catalyst in 2001 as part of an exploration to see what was possible when people are brought together in highly inspiring and motivating environments to enter into dialogue on key issues.

In September 2007, Simon was trained by Al Gore to become one of Al Gore's Climate Project presenters and is now delivering the slide show made famous in An Inconvenient Truth.

He is the Regional Head of Sustainability for Asia Pacific at the large property services provider, Colliers International. In this role he develops the company's sustainability policy and strategy and works to enable Colliers International to play a lead role in transforming the environmental performance of our cities. 2008 saw the expansion of his role into nations such as China, India, Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia. He previously trained and practised as an architect specialising in the sustainable design of buildings.
